PocketMacros is a practical visual tool crafted to aid in the identification and study of aquatic macroinvertebrates. The application comprises a field guide segment, an interactive key for identification, and flashcard exercises. Serving as a complementary tool to Macroinvertebrates.org: The Atlas of Common Freshwater Macroinvertebrates of Eastern North America, this app is financially supported by the National Science Foundation with the objective of fostering water quality biomonitoring, environmental education, watershed stewardship, and recreational fishing.
